Continuing Professional Development and
Extra Personal Vacation College
In 2019, we are expanding our range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses and Extra Personal Vacation (EPD) courses for primary school teachers.
***All of our courses in 2019 are approved for EPV days from the Department of Education***
Our courses will run in Summer 2019.
Cost of one course is €75, two are €100 and three are €120. Pre-registering will entitle you to a minimum €20 discount.
Courses will be run and assessed online so you can access them from home. Places are limited to 75 people per course and are 20 hours each.
Courses are designed and delivered by our team, bringing together our experience of psychology, neuroscience and behaviour support.
Along with this, we bring many years of experience of teaching at all levels in Ireland, so we understand what needs teachers have as they face the day to day challenges in the classroom.

In 2019, we are expanding our range of CPD and EPV courses for primary school teachers. Our courses are practical, accessible and easy to navigate, and bring together the neuroscience, psychology and practical behavioural analysis to bring a deep understanding of topics to teachers.

This HAS to Stop! The Psychology of Bullying and Proven Strategies for Preventing It
This CPD and EPV course will help you identify, understand and manage bullying behaviour in your classroom and school.
The course covers a range of bullying related topics including signs, social connection and the brain, cyberbullying, emotional and social intelligence and bullying behaviours.
Through the use of integrative lesson plans and resources, it will allow you to foster empathy, thoughtfulness and emotional intelligence in students, the first steps towards a bully free zone!
No More Meltdowns - Proven Strategies for Managing Challenging Behaviour
This CPD and EPV course provides support and resources for teachers managing a range of challenging behaviours in their classrooms.
You will cover information about the causes and possible underlying causes of challenging behaviour, as well as practical advice for teachers including the basics of feedback reinforcement and correction.
With the tools provided in this course including practical resources and lesson plans, you will be well equipped to tackle challenging behaviour in a practical, understanding and effective way.
All Work and No Play - The Psychology and Benefits of Play and Humour in School
By doing this CPD and EPV course you will have access to lesson plans and game suggestions to enhance your learning environment and make learning and teaching fun!
You will cover the importance and benefits of play in relation to child development and learning.
Modules include the playful educator, the effects of no homework and the importance of winning and losing.
Fasten Your Own Seatbelt First! Minding Educators’ Mental Health
Teaching can be a stressful occupation. In this EPV course we discuss strategies to manage stress and increase your own and your students’ self care.
Topics covered include mindfulness based interventions, breathing techniques and gratitude.
Our comprehensive lesson plans and resources provide you and your learners with the skills to overcome challenges and thrive both at home and in school.
Autism 101: Creating an Autism-Friendly Learning Environment
The aim of this CPD and EPV course is to offer a deeper insight into the world of the child with ASD.
Taking this course will equip you to set up an ASD friendly environment to promote effective learning and development, based on the Actualise Academy model of neuroscience, clinical psychology and Behavioural Science
Anxiety in Children: Why It Occurs and How To Deal With It
The aim of this CPD and EPV course is to use the Actualise Academy model of neuroscience, clinical psychology and Behavioural Science to introduce teachers to the cognitive, emotional and behavioural factors related to anxiety.
Helping Children Understand Anxiety, and Promoting Positive Behaviour
The aim of this CPV and EPV course is to use the Actualise Academy model of neuroscience, clinical/emotional psychology and behavioural science to introduce teachers to the cognitive, emotional and behavioural factors that impact upon both teacher and student anxiety and how this anxiety can contribute to behavioural concerns.
Using Neuroscience to Support an Emotionally Resilient & Mindful School
The aim of this CPD and EPV course is to use the Actualise Academy Model of Neuroscience, Clinical/Emotional Psychology and Behavioural Science to introduce teachers to the cognitive, emotional and behavioural factors that impact upon both teacher and student well-being.
Mental Health Fitness Plans Across The Curriculum
This CPD and EPV course focuses on building lesson plans which incorporate mental health, from understanding your brain and body to learning how to celebrate one's achievements.
It provides both the teachers and their students with the necessary resources on how incorporate mindfulness in the classroom as well as provide strategies on how to actively resolve problems.

The aim of this CPD and EPV course is to help the teacher actualise their potential and become better equipped to help their student's reach their potential.
